NAD+

Wellness Science — Coenzyme (not a peptide)

A cellular coenzyme essential to energy metabolism; NAD+ is not a peptide. IV wellness use remains preliminary and is not FDA-approved.

Limited human evidenceLast reviewed October 27, 2026

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme found in living cells. Unlike the other entries in this library, NAD+ is not a peptide. It plays essential roles in cellular energy metabolism, oxidation-reduction reactions, and processes involving enzymes associated with DNA repair and cellular stress responses. Interest in NAD+ supplementation has grown because of research into metabolism, aging biology, and compounds that influence NAD+ availability.
