Limited human evidenceLast reviewed October 27, 2026

Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It acts on the pituitary gland to stimulate the body's release of growth hormone. Growth hormone contributes to childhood growth, metabolism, and the regulation of several physiological processes. Sermorelin's effect depends on the responsiveness of the pituitary gland.
